About Me

Here’s the thing. If you already know what .BAT is, then you’re either a super geek or you’re older than you think.

Hi there! I’m Allen, a geek by day, Freemason by night, and this is my website. I live in Florida, and have fun playing golf on the weekends.

How did I end up with DotBat? Well it was a nickname. I used to work as a QA Tester for Commodore back in the day and I would write batch files to automate any testing routines. I got pretty good at it, and some would argue that I spent as much time perfecting a fully automated script as it would’ve taken to just do the task. But the point was I could ensure the exact same steps were executed on any number of Computers – every time! – That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

This website is my latest experiment. Feel free to roam around and if you find it useful let me know. If you don’t, that’s OK too, but keep it to yourself. Constructive comments I’ll take, but I’m not going to entertain anything else.
