York Rite Poem

You’re not a York Rite Mason?
We’re sure you’ll want to be,
‘Cause a Brother Master Mason
Desires light, that he may see.

The Chapter degrees for us prepare
With skills to seek and find,
Quarry, shape and square
In the recesses of our mind
Those living stones, designed.

From Councils ancient tabloid
We discover that, which fills the void
‘Tween Fellowcraft and Master Mason,
Most Excellent Master and Royal Arch Mason
And why the Temple was destroyed.

Commandery has its several Orders,
Reveals the crossing of sovereign borders
And friendship renewed of Prince and King
By Truths Divine, remembering.
The Temple they again rebuild
By Craftsmen of our famous guild.

Christian Knights we are told,
Formed into the Templar fold
To protect the Pilgrim on his way,
To the Holy Land of that day,
Where Christ had died that we might live
And GOD for us our sins forgive.

So, come and join us and you’ll see
Thru your own enlightened ability,
Why, the Templars march, to Christianity.
